What is the JLPP Juvenile Laryngeal Paralysis and Polyneuropathy ?
The symptoms of JLPP appear from the age of 2 to 6 months. This neurological disease causes laryngeal paralysis and at a late stage affects all the nerves. The affected animal is quickly tired and does no longer supports the efforts. We also sometimes observed nerve damage related to swallowing : the affected animals regurgitate.
The evolution of symptoms is rapid : in just a few months. There is no specific treatment known to date
Realization of the genetic test
The JLPP genetic test is classically performed using a buccal swab. However dry blood tube və ya EDTA blood tube can be used.
