The symptoms of SDCA2 Spongy cerebellar degeneration with cerebellar ataxia

The SDCA2 has variable symptoms in terms of severity of onset of the disease and histological lesion. Usually the first symptoms are observed between the age of 4 and 6 weeks. The main symptoms are inadequate coordination of movements and a weight loss.

Another disease named SDCA1 with similar symptoms in the Belgian and Dutch Shepherd dogs exists.
