What is the CN Cyclic Neutropenia in dog ?
The Cyclic neutropenia is a disease specific to the Collie breeds. The Cyclic neutropenia affects neutrophils, a type of white blood cells, that are an integral part of the immune system. This pathology causes a drop in the number of neutrophils every 10 to 12 days. During crises, the dog is susceptible to infections and diarrhea. Fever and various pains are observed. Most puppies will die quickly after born. The affected adult dogs will die before the age of 3 years.
